Maybe war has a new "first casualty"?
IN CASE OF NATIONAL DISASTER (see: Read My Lips, Jr. and/or Enron and/or Ben Laden: La verite interdite [The Prohibited Truth] by Jean-Charles Brisard) OR WAR (in Afghanistan, Colombia or the Philippines), and for security reasons, you understand, the ISPs will have to be shut down. Sorry.

Subject: OVER HIS DEAD BODY?
George W. Bush just repeated the same basic promise his dad made and
violated. Where dad pledged "Read my lips: No new taxes", Junior just
did the same thing with his, "Over my dead body" promise not to allow a
tax increase. What is it with those two?
Anyway, it's time for G.W. Bush to roll over and play dead, because the
first stealth tax increases have already been implemented, or are about
to be.
dxm sed:
Subject: NOT OVER HIS DEAD BODY CORRECTION
Sorry to correct you on this, but Duh said, "NOT" over (his) dead body
would taxes be raised; i.e., taxes will be raised (sure enough), and
he'll will live through it. I am more concerned about Dashile (Carvile's
twin) getting blown away since they failed in their attempt on the
Majority leader with the anthrax.
Enron is still out there, and a book in French that should likely be translated soon into English, and available from Amazon as usual...
Carl sed:
Subject: OVER HIS DEAD BUSHISM
I know, but you know that was just a "Bushism", where he's not all that
specific in his use of the language.
dxm sed:
Subject: OVER HIS DEAD BUSHISM POETRY
Right! So are taxes going to be raised before or after he dies? Well, that's obvious. So then as the taxes are exacted... what do the American people get for our trouble OR it may be just as you said from the git re: a congenital lip tripism.
**********
Ladies & gentlemen:

Item number one: Those of you who don't receive Social Security
benefits have no way of knowing this, but I keep a sharp eye on the cost
of living increases granted the recipients each year in contrast to the
actual cost of living we are all experiencing. For the year 2002, the
Social Security Administration claims the cost of living increased only
2.6% in 2001. That means your housing costs, your fuel costs and your
grocery costs only increased 2.6% in 2001 over that of the year 2000.
That's a fat lie, and it constitutes a tax increase for every American
dependent upon Social Security.
Item number two: The Post Office is claiming mailings have dropped
dramatically, so they are asking for a June rate increase for First
Class postage to go from $.34 to $.37 per unit. That is a tax
increase. Let me explain.
When the Post Office became "privatized", part of the arrangement was
that the Post Office couldn't keep a profit. About 5 years ago, the
Post Office generated profits of over two billions dollars. Since the
Post Office can't keep a profit, that two billion dollars was drawn off
and deposited to the government's general fund. They are now claiming a
loss, and the increase they are asking for is nearly 10%. So if they
get that increase and again show a profit as a result, that profit will
again be drawn off and deposited to the national general fund. That's a
back-handed tax increase, no matter how you slice it.
I can't wait to see what they come up with next. Oh, wait a minute:
The cost of the new security measures at airports comes to an additional
$2.50 for each person standing in line for the privilege of being
frisked. That's a tax increase, folks.
Love the game.
