ANTI-WAR PROTEST PLANNED FOR WASHINGTON
WASHINGTON (AP) - Protesters plan to return to the nation's capital next month to oppose the presence
of U.S. troops in Iraq, demonstration organizers said Wednesday.
The International ANSWER coalition, whose name stands for Act Now to Stop War and Racism, brought
thousands of anti-war protesters to Washington in January, March and April.
Organizers predict the Oct. 25 march from the Justice Department to the White House and the Pentagon
will attract tens of thousands of people. The group is seeking a protest permit for 10,000 people, the
National Park Service said...
Organizers said at least 50 buses will bring people to Washington from around the United States and

Endless Conflict of Interest with Bush White House

posted the "smoking gun" of finds that sez it all. See, we've got this problem of Saddam & Company being
so technologically sophisticated that Americans "cannot wait for the final
proof - the smoking gun - that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud," Bush warned, sounding an
apocalyptic note, whereas those same Iraqi peasants are so backwards
they can't pump their own oil or operate sewage facilities or build and run electric plants without
the help of Bush White House & Company vendors. goddamit! Does it never end with these people?

My (brief) career as an ISP. The all new and improved
Politech list sorts out "privacy" from "free speech" and "censorship" issues. Maybe Declan could
do well to add "comedy" or "unnecessary government meddling" clicks to his list.
We've covered the Rush thing from almost every angle. Our friend Carl Worden, in addition to
mentioning hypocrisy and the medical marijuana (below) just about sez it all. I'm still waiting for
someone to explain that the drugs Rush was using might explain his "stinkin' thinkin'" (as we say in
the recovering community); as in: "Here. Take a few of these green ones, and you can be a Republican.
Double the dosage and add a few of the purple ones, and you can be a full-blown Nazi. Take all of
the above plus a few of the orange ones, and you can be a spokesman for the President of the United
States - without conscience.
In today's overnight news, posted as an afterthought on the
Rush Limbaugh adventure, let's watch how a rich white guy goes through the process
of getting caught dabbling in unlawfully obtained prescription drugs. Rush can quit his job with a
one or two or three day notice to his bosses, and then immediately check into rehab (no six month

Hypocrisy Revealed

Hypocrisy revealed always turns on its owner. I canšt remember how many years ago I penned that
observation, but I do know I hate hypocrisy wherever I find it, and most particularly when I find it
in me.
Only those with enough personal integrity will admit to this particular affliction when they
discover it in their own bed. All the others will make excuses or simply lie, but hypocrisy is
something we all have to deal with from time-to-time, because wešre all guilty of it from
time-to-time.
The difference between the two approaches to this problem is that those with enough personal
integrity will to admit the gaffe, even if just to themselves, but they always learn and develop
even more personal character because of it. The others just remain hypocrites.
Rush Limbaugh just admitted he's addicted to prescription painkillers like Vicodin and Oxycontin.
Reports in the National Enquirer say old Rush has been obtaining those drugs illegally through
private, non-medical sources otherwise referred to as illegal drug dealers in the everyday press.
It now appears those reports are true.
Well, Mr. Limbaugh, your hypocrisy just turned and bit you right in the ass! Arenšt you the guy I've
heard repeatedly condemning illegal drug use and aren't you also the flaming hypocrite who has
repeatedly condemned the idea of drug legalization?
You see, Rush, everybody's got an excuse for using drugs, whether they be approved by the Federal
Drug Administration, or the product of some meth lab set up in a bathtub. They are all drugs, Rush.
Your published excuse is severe pain from a back ailment. But the fact is that you resorted to
illegal drug dealers to continue to obtain those painkillers, and federal law says you are a felon
for it. Youšll never be criminally charged for it, but you're no better than all those druggies you
condemned on your radio show repeatedly time after time.
Those who promote the use of medical Marijuana for the treatment of various ailments came under fire
from Rush Limbaugh as well.
In point of fact, God gave us everything we have here on the earth to use in the exercise of our
free will. A rock can be used as the cornerstone for the building of a church or a house or a
hospital. The same rock can be used to crush the skull of someone we hate.
Drugs of any kind, be they deemed illegal or not by human notion, can be used to treat or to
destroy, just like alcohol.
The instructions God gave us were to use what He gave us in moderation and in wisdom. God never
advocated any human law banning the use of any of the substances He allowed us access to.
That is why Prohibition failed so miserably, and that is also why the War On Drugs is failing
miserably.
Attempting to "ban" anything lacks God's own wisdom, because He knows human nature will conflict
with it. For some odd reason, our elected leaders have never quite figured that out.
Those with enough personal integrity, coupled with the wisdom of God, may want to reconsider their
long held convictions. The others will just make excuses and lie, and the disastrous consequences of
the War On Drugs will continue unabated.

Survey Group head's link to arms industry

For at least 10 years David Kay, head of the Iraq Survey Group, has staked his professional
and business reputation on the case that Iraq was a serious threat.
He was a frequent pundit on US television shows, making the case for regime change in blunt
language. He called the attempt by Kofi Annan, the UN Secretary General, to broker an effective
inspections process in 1998 "worse than useless"; claimed in 2002 that Iraq was pursuing its weapons
of mass destruction in order to bring about the elimination of the state of Israel; and said before
entering Iraq that the Coalition would find not just a "smoking gun", but a "smoking arsenal".
Until October last year, Mr Kay was the vice-president of a major San Diego-based defence contractor,
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), co-ordinating its homeland security
and counter-terrorism initiatives. It was while he held this role that he claimed that Iraq could
launch terrorist attacks on the US mainland.

the FBI?
5. Why are you protecting the Second Amendment rights of potential terrorists?
6. Were you aware that, while you were governor of Texas, the Taliban traveled to Texas to meet
with your oil and gas company friends?
7. What exactly was that look on your face in the Florida classroom on the morning of September 11
when your chief of staff told you, 'America is under attack'?"

Michael Moore's documentary, Bowling for Colombine, wins at France's prestigious awards ceremony in Paris.
In his acceptance speech Moore thanked France for "having the courage to stand up and say no" to US plans to attack Iraq.
"One of the best definitions of an ally, of a friend, is that your friend is the one who can tell you when you're wrong," he said.
"So thank you for showing us the way, for standing up and for something very important... I want to let you know that there are tens of millions of Americans who feel the same way."
Moroccan
artists pay tribute to US anti-war stars. "We praise the courage of American stars who said no
to war in Iraq," said Mohamed Bakrim, secretary general of the association of the Casablanca cinema
festival.
Bush: The Fictitious President
Michael Moore, one of the first signatories of the "Not in my name" appeal, symbolizes resistance to
war and to violence, he said adding "with their commitment against war, American stars have given another image
of America."
Michael criticized Bush and the USUK war in Iraq, during his Oscar acceptance speech at the Academy
Awards. The documentary maker who won his first Oscar Sunday for Bowling for
Columbine, had said "We live in the time where we have fictitious election results that elect a
fictitious president. We live in a time where we have a man who's sending us to war for fictitious
reasons, whether it's the fiction of duct tape or the fiction of orange alerts. We are against this
war, Mr. Bush! Shame on you, Mr. Bush! Shame on you!"
Michael Moore to Tackle Bush/bin LadenTies in Next Doc
Michael Moore will depict alleged dealings between two generations of the Bush and bin Laden families
in his next documentary "Fahrenheit 911."
"The primary thrust of the new film is what has happened to the country since Sept. 11, and how the
Bush administration used this tragic event to push its agenda," Moore tells Variety . "It certainly
does deal with the Bush and bin Laden ties. It asks a number of questions that I don't have the answers
to yet, but which I intend to find out."
The documentary will suggest that the business dealings between George Bush and Osama bin Laden's
late father led to George W. Bush and Osama bin Laden becoming mortal enemies.
"The senior Bush kept his ties with the bin Laden family up until two months after Sept. 11," Moore
says. "The bin Ladens invested heavily in the Carlyle Group, which has its hands in a number of pies
and is the 11th largest defense contractor even though it mostly buys failing defense companies and
sells them for profits."
