Matt Ager Global Domination Game with Saddam George WWIII and Usama bin Laden
from Matt "Interactive" Ager. Features Saddam Hussein, George WWIII, Usama bin Laden and YOU!!

Our uniquely American Freedom and Democracy is in more danger from George WWIII and John Ashcroft alone than from Al-Qaida, the Taliban, Usama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein combined. The "apples and oranges" war on terrorism and the investigation into how 911 happened to us and WHY are diminished by diverting attention to Saddam, clearly a despicable rat, but who is NOT a threat to the U.S.A. See: Color coded Terrorist Alert; mostly "I love my country, fear my government" kinda stuff.

26SEP2002 George WWIII's WWIII at home and abroad is illegal

Ed. note:The most compelling argue against subjugating the American people to a state of governed enslavement whims and/or that same government declaring war on the whole wide world in our (American) name comes down to a matter of existent law or not; specifically the Nuremberg Trials and the Geneva Conventions NOT the convenietly contrived and so-called Homeland Security fatwa handed down by Seyeheeb Bush.

What George WWIII and John Ashcroft are imposing on us, and the whole wide world is first of all unlawful; as is absolutely un-Constitutional - across the spectrum of law and American history!

Of the many articles and letters that have passed through here Is Bush's War Illegal? seems to say it all, but using a jillion words to say it. Francis A. Boyle is Professor of Law at University of Illinois, and is the author of Foundations of World Order, The Criminality of Nuclear Deterrence and Defending Civil Resistance Under International Law. Maybe it's my job to reduce it down to 25 words or less without losing what he IS saying. DON'T trust me on this one! Please read Boyle's article for yourself.

25SEP2002 Ramallah in ruins

Ramalla in RuinsEd.note: While the CIA is asking sci-fi writers to conjure up worse-case-scenarios (forget a "constitutionally dubious, and the coldly calculating - they're betting they can win votes by spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt") Fascist take-over and overthrow of Democracy in the U.S. at the hands of religious right-wing fanatics* headed up by John Ashcroft), news from Palestine is buried in the media rubble of George WWIII's war on Iraq, corporate scandals, the stock market's slide into the minus 5,000 range... Last night our friend Ray Taliaferro, KGO-Radio San Francisco, put a call out to Our Man in Ramallah, for some news of what is really happening over there OR for criticizing Geroge WWIII's idiology and idiotic stance in foreign and domestic policies, Al Gore (see speech) is being labeled un-American by the Rush "Toogood" Limbaugh crowd. That too will hafta be dealt with. [1 - 30 of about 1,470 Ramallah-related stories]

*What these nut case uppard conservative racists and bigots of the "fundamentalist" right-wing (and self-proclaimed "Christians") also have in common besides blindly following the Ashcrofts of this world, is that mostly they are Republicans, and they all believe that (only) the ("Authorized") King James Version of the Holy Bible is the "inerrant" word of God. Never mind that "Shake" and "Spear" figure in the KJV rendering. See: Psalm 46; count 46 words down from the top of the verse, and 46 words up from the bottom... so much for the "inerrant" word of Shakespeare, his mischief and what fools he's been making of the inerrancy crowd since his (46th) birthday (in 1611). See the Salman Rushdie - Daniel Pipes - Franklin Graham connection.

24SEP2002 Hanoi Jane, Ted Turner and Mickey Mouse...

CNN and ABC to merge? AOL Time Warner and the Walt Disney Company held talks about merging their CNN and ABC News divisions. That's all, folks! OR did you hear the one about the Irish Travelers? OR the one about she shouldn't have did it? Madeline Toogood shouldn't have hit the kid, and for that she should get the max, but neither should she have abused Free Speech in the (literal) spirit of cop and police dispatch lingo... It is really spooky - not the usual fare of a Family and Hometown newspaper. [To be continued]

23SEP2002 Gore and Carter stand up to George WWIII, finally...

The UK's Mirror reported GORE IN RAGE AT LONE WOLF BUSH "In one of the most dramatic anti-war speeches yet heard in America, Gore rounded on Bush, accusing him of playing politics over Iraq to exploit the forthcoming Senate elections..."

PRESIDENT Bush was last night savaged by rival Al Gore who warned that going after Saddam Hussein without international support could seriously damage the war on terror and make America global outlaws... Former Vice President Gore - who narrowly lost to Bush in the 2000 presidential race - pointed out how isolated the Bush administration had become on Iraq... He mocked: "If you're going after Jesse James you ought to organise the posse first."

He said the President was squandering the goodwill of the world after September 11, insisting that the Iraq problem was not urgent and there was still not enough proof that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction... Gore said existing UN resolutions against Baghdad were already sufficient and a new one was unnecessary. He said: "I don't think we need one if he's in breach, which he is." Gore added: "It's impossible to succeed against terrorism unless we have the continuing sustained co-operation of many nations... "Many of our allies in Europe and Asia are thus far opposed to what President Bush is doing and the few who do support us have conditioned their support on the passage of a new UN resolution..." Gore also pointed to the growing opposition in Britain to war against Iraq. He said: "Tony Blair, who I think is a fantastic leader, has been getting into trouble with the British electorate because of the doubts."

Honk if your uncle is your father!!

While the "Loyal Opposition" have been mealy-mouth supportive of the White House war against Iraq, the foreign press hasn't hesitated to voice their respective nations' opposition. What is disheartening is that the foreign press is saying the "Americans" this and the "Americans" that... That's US they're writing about, but it isn't US supporting the insanity being imposed on the rest of the world from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Oregon writer and executive director of Oregon PeaceWorks, Peter Bergel wrote in his Don't let Bush take us to war article:

The administration has declared it does not need the approval of Congress to do this, despite these words in the Constitution Bush is sworn to uphold: "Congress shall have the power to Š provide for the common defense and ... To declare war..." (Article I, Section 8).

The American people, however, know better. According to several recent polls (CBS, CNN, Newsweek, ABC and Los Angeles Times), large majorities say that Bush must get Congress' approval to go to war. Majorities also believe that we should obtain the support of the United Nations, our European allies (who all - except for Britain - oppose the idea) and friendly Arab nations too.

A majority also concurs that attacking Iraq would probably increase the risk of terrorism being directed against Americans.

In making his case to the United Nations for attacking Iraq, Bush presented no new information - just a list of familiar grievances and allegations, many of which, according to CNN, either are unsubstantiated or are based on the testimony of Saddam Hussein's enemies. It was a masterful piece of marketing, but, like a lot of marketing, needs careful examination to ferret out the truth.

Perhaps more important: As Bush stood before the United Nations, his position was akin to that of the lawyer for a plaintiff making a case to a jury. As such, it was totally inappropriate for him to threaten that the United States would go it alone if the United Nations did not go along. That would be like a lawyer threatening to kill a defendant if the jury did not convict him.

Bush's threat of a "pre-emptive strike" is totally at odds with the American way and with international law. Instead, his approach should be to seek global security. Russia, for example, just concluded a $40 billion trade agreement with Iraq. Trade (except in weapons) is often the basis for peace.

As for Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction, let us begin anew, through the United Nations to institute honest weapons inspections. Let us remember that one reason Saddam ceased his cooperation with previous weapons inspectors was that he accused them of serving the double function of spying on other aspects of his military capability as well as inspecting for weapons of mass destruction. Do we know that is not true? In his place, would we not also refuse cooperation?

The administration must prove, not just assert, the case that Iraq is intentionally harboring terrorist elements. That has not been done. We must also realize that, from the Iraqi viewpoint, the half-million Iraqis who have died of disease and want as a result of the existing economic sanctions are victims of terror just as surely as those killed on 9/11.

Policies of aggression and assassination are not worthy of any nation with a democratic tradition. By sending our sons and daughters to kill the sons and daughters of Iraq, we would be selling out that which makes our country great. [More]

American Communist Party22SEP2002 U.S. And Russia Split Over Iraq
Communist Party Trading Cards - Collect the whole set!!

U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov differed on the prospect of resuming U.N. arms inspections inside Iraq.

Powell insisted on a new Security Council resolution imposing "tough standards and tough conditions" to ensure that Iraq delivers on its promises.

But Ivanov brushed aside the U.S. suggestion, arguing that if U.N inspectors are to be despatched to Iraq "we don't need any special resolution for that".

Saddam Hussein's turnaround on arms inspections has driven a wedge between the two veto-wielding permanent members of the Security Council. The Iraqi president's "tactical move" is also bound to split the 15-member Council.

The decision to permit U.N. inspectors has also temporarily neutralized U.S. plans for an impending military attack on Iraq. [
