Bill says he intends to provide the people of West Lane County with morally responsible representation; leave a positive and lasting legacy for future generations; promote a balance between resources and economic growth; promote education, training and social service programs that are aimed at lifting all people to their highest potential; create an atmosphere of transparency and openness in government; help promote the interaction of various governmental bodies to provide for a more efficient and cost effective transfer of services, and to listen to the people. Bill has pledge not to accept campaign contributions or endorsements; to spend less than $2000 on this campaign (Filed Form PC-7 on 4/15/02). Bill pledges that he will equally, and fairly, represent the people and businesses of Lane County, and will not tolerate special interest, political or media influences! While candidate Fleenor has some lofty ideas about restoring faith in our County Government, he also brings to the process a says it all pledge and campaign promise: "I will obey the law!"  |

Pipes' constant distortion of the truth, makes him one of the leading apologists for massacres like the one that recently took place in the Palestinian town of Jenin, where Israeli tanks bulldozed people alive in their own homes. A member of the U.S. Defense Department, Pipes has made a career out of cheering on the worst atrocities US foreign policy has to offer. Whether it's the 'war on terror', or Israel's ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, Pipes is always there beating the drum for war. If someone defended apartheid in South Africa in the 1980's, they would be run outa town. In 2002, Pipes defends apartheid in Israel. Racism should not be tolerated, not now, not ever.  George WWIII's saying Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is "a man of peace" and that Arafat must "earn" respect is beyond insult. Such statements tell the world there is no one home at the White House. As George WWIII & Company back Sharon, they and the Christian fundamentalists generally are making friends with American Jews. The American right-wing are in-truth an outright manifestation anti-Semitism. In solidarity with Israel, the American Jewish organizations have allied themselves with religious the very organizations that are most dangerous to the Jews. Supporting Sharon is dangerous enough. An alliance with the America's religious right is suicidal. What has the Israeli Army to do with a North London synagogue desecrated with swastikas? Everything! We'll see if the Jew's new found friendship with the mostly anti-immigration right wing conservatives in the congress, senate and White House plays out when Israelis want to migrate from Israel to the United States - as similar to what we are seeing in the exodus from Argentina over the economic situation there.
